You can quickly access all kinds of valuable resources and information to help you deal with the financial hurdles, the legal hurdles, and most importantly, the emotional hurdles. Thanks to IA3, this “kid” is MUCH more efficient and effective in the time I spend helping my parents work through these issues.
SCORE – “Counselors to America’s Small Business”
SCORE is a non-profit association that has helped more than 8.5 million aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners through their network of 12,400 volunteer business counselors. My first SCORE experience was in 1994, when I met with one of their counselors and walked away with all kinds of insight and resources to explore. SCORE’s free business mentoring is an excellent resource you don’t want to miss, whether you are just starting out, or growing your business. Meet a SCORE counselor at any one of their 364 chapter offices nationwide.
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)
Created in 1953, the SBA is an independent federal government agency on a mission to counsel, assist, and protect the interests of small business. Their tagline, “Programs and Services to help you start, grow, and succeed” says it all. If you’re not tapping this wealth of information, you should.
